NYFW Day 1: Crowd and Christian Siriano

Well my first visit to New York Fashion Week has finally happened...and I absolutely loved it! After work I hopped on down to Lincoln Center and began mingling and taking pictures of all the inspiring people. The sponsor tent where everyone mingles between shows is great for networking and people watching.

For outfit numero uno I layered around a zebra White House Black Market shirt/dress and my fav cobalt blue ankle booties! Accessorized with my Tiffany's locket necklace, Betsey Johnson studded watch, and my celtic knot ring from Ireland.

Ran into blogger Leslie of The Creative Cookie. I had just seen her Wednesday night for her party in SoHo (don't worry I'll eventually be posting that too!) and was shocked to bump into her again. I love how she embraces color and pattern, it stands out in a sea of black!

 This fabulous young lady is well on her way to greatness. These pants are to die for...seriously...I want them so badly! I can't imagine having such great style at her age. Bravo!

 This vintage LBD number was such a figure flattering stunner I had to grab a shot. And this Burberry Prorsum spike jacket left me dreaming! I'm telling you between this jacket and the Union Jack pants, I would be in heaven!

Fabulous kick off day for Fashion Week. I watched the Christian Siriano show streaming live and was very impressed...I always love his work. Mauves, Olives, and Blacks, tied together his collection that was flowy, feminine, and...you guessed it....FIERCE! Only problem? The sky-high stilettos had the models tripping all over the place! One completely fell and 3 stumbled several times. Oh la la! Not good!

{thanks for the early pics Examiner}

I had a great time chatting with everyone there, and I can't wait for what's next down the runway!

Don't forget to vote on my outfit to wear to NYFW darlings!
