Paris Hilton has been deemed unfit to stand trial in a civil suit filed against her by diamond heiress Zeta Graff. Dr. Charles Sophy, a psychiatrist who has treated Hilton "off and on" for the last six months, has filed a declaration stating Hilton is "not capable of any meaningful participation" in the trial. Graff filed the $10 million lawsuit in 2005, claiming the socialite spread "vicious lies" about her. According to Dr. Sophy, Hilton is "emotionally distraught and traumatized" after being sentenced to 45 days in jail for breach of probation, and "cannot effectively respond to examination as a witness or provide any significant input into her defense." Hilton's shrink asked the judge to allow her time to recover, stating that forcing her into court on May 21 would "exacerbate her current medical condition." The plan worked - the judge postponed the trial until August 22.
